The automatic self-leveling Spectra Precision® GL1425C dual grade laser is the most rugged, cost-effective laser that does three jobs—level, grade, and vertical alignment. Even in harsh jobsite conditions, the GL1425C delivers consistently reliable and accurate performance, enabling you to work faster and smarter. The GL1425C has Bluetooth built in so it can work with the Spectra Precision Laser Remote App and eliminate the cost of the remote control. The laser can be controlled with your smartphone.The rugged GL1425C laser can withstand drops of up to 3 feet onto concrete and tripod tip overs up to 5 feet. This strength, combined with full weatherproofing and dustproofing, reduces downtime and lowers repair costs over the life of the product.
The GL1425C-EXCAVATORMAXX-21 pairs the GL1425C dual grade laser with the Spectra LR50 Machine Receiver — a dedicated excavator receiver with 360° reception and a bright LED bar display built right into the unit. Grade status is visible directly on the receiver boom-mounted on the machine.
► How It Works — GL1425C-EXCAVATORMAXX-21
Step 1 — Set up the laser
Mount the GL1425C on the ALQR20 tripod. Dial in your grade on both axes. The laser self-levels and begins rotating, projecting a 360° grade plane across the entire jobsite.
Step 2 — Mount the LR50
Attach the LR50 machine receiver to the excavator boom using the magnetic mount. The 360° reception window catches the laser beam from any direction as the boom swings.
Step 3 — Dig to grade
Operate the excavator normally. The LR50 continuously reads the laser plane as the boom moves. The LED bar display on the receiver shows your grade status continuously.
Step 4 — Read grade from the receiver LEDs
The LR50 displays your grade status directly on the receiver with bright LED bars. You can see it on the boom from the cab. No separate display needed.

The FGC20 is a heavy-duty fiberglass elevator tripod designed specifically for excavator grade laser applications. The crank-up elevator center column adjusts from 40" to a fully extended 90" — giving you an additional 50" of vertical reach without touching the legs. That extra height is what gets the GL1425C laser up to the level needed to align with the machine receiver mounted on your excavator boom. Without an elevator tripod, the laser sits too low to maintain a proper signal path to the boom-mounted receiver, causing unreliable grade readings or no signal at all. Quick-clamp leg locks and 5/8×11 thread mount for direct GL1425C compatibility.
