What You Receive.
- 6 × Spectra 1176 red magnetic ceiling target
- Laser and wall mount not included
The part
The Target Every Ceiling Crew Runs Out Of.
The 1176 is Spectra’s red magnetic ceiling target: a red card with a magnetic top edge and reference lines, made so a red laser line shows up clearly at ceiling height. Spectra puts one in its HV1305C-4 and HV101GC-1 packages.
One target per crew is never enough. They get left on the grid, stepped on or painted over. This pack is six of them, so every installer has one and there are spares on the truck.

Straight answers
Spectra 1176-6 — Straight Answers.
What is in the Spectra 1176-6?
Six Spectra 1176 red magnetic ceiling targets. Spectra sells the target in a pack of six under part number 1176-6.
Which lasers is it for?
Red-beam lasers. Spectra ships the 1176 target in its HV1305C-4 and HV101GC-1 red-beam packages. For a green-beam laser use a green target; a red target does not help a green beam.
How do I use a ceiling target?
Clip it to the ceiling grid, ceiling track or wall angle with its magnetic top edge, so the laser line lands on the target where you can see it. On Spectra's HV wall mounts the “−2” position lines up with the horizontal centreline at the ceiling target.
Why buy six?
One target per installer, a spare for each room or floor, and nobody waits for the one card on the job. They get stepped on, painted over and left on the grid; six cost little more than shipping one.
Is one target included with my laser?
Some Spectra packages include one (the HV1305C-4 and HV101GC-1 do). The 1176-6 is for crews who need more than the one in the case.
