Spectra Precision B10 Rechargeable NiMH Battery Pack — 10 Ah (10,000 mAh). This is the rechargeable pack Spectra builds into the LL1505C, and it is the same pack used by the GL1425C, HV1305C and HV1305GC.
On an LL1505C it runs typically 55 hours on a charge. It recharges in under 10 hours with the CH10 charger, and it should be charged between 41°F and 104°F — charging it hotter or colder than that shortens its life.
The pack is keyed, so it can only go into the battery compartment the right way round. Buy a second one and you swap packs at the truck instead of losing the afternoon to a charger — which is what most people actually use this for.
One warning worth reading. Spectra are blunt about this in the LL1505C user guide: never take the rechargeable cells out of their cage and put alkaline batteries in the cage. If the charger is then plugged in, the laser is damaged. Alkaline cells go straight into the battery compartment on their own — 4 x 1.5V D cells.
Alkaline runs this laser perfectly normally. The LL1505C is built to take either, and plenty of crews run nothing but D cells. What the rechargeable pack buys you is not capability, it is convenience — and the reason to own both is the morning you get to the job and realise the pack never went on the charger. Drop four D cells in and you are working. You are never out of business over a flat pack.
Fits and is the correct replacement or spare pack for the Spectra LL1505C laser kits, the GL1425C dual grade laser, and the HV1305C and HV1305GC horizontal/vertical lasers.
