The Advantages That Make
It the Flagship.

Two exclusive features. Every specification maxed out. This is what you get at the top of the David White lineup.

🟢
● Green Beam — 4× More Visible
The green beam is 4× more visible to the human eye than red, especially in lit interior environments. Under warehouse LEDs, in a bright concrete shell, or at full 2000-ft outdoor range — the green line is sharp and visible. The included LD 320-TR detector is calibrated specifically for the green beam frequency.
Auto-Alignment Technology — Exclusive
Exclusive to the LM130HVG. Auto-Alignment automatically aligns the laser to a desired grade or reference point. Instead of manually cranking and checking repeatedly, point the instrument at your target grade and it gets there automatically. No hunting. No manual fine-tuning. Saves significant setup time every grading job.
📒
Horizontal + Vertical Planes
Full H+V capability in one instrument. Set floor elevation references and wall plumb lines simultaneously without moving the instrument. 90° layout beams, five sweep modes (0°, 10°, 45°, 90°, 180°), and three rotation speeds (0, 300, 600 RPM) give you complete control.
🛡
IP65 + Anti-Drift System
IP65 sealed against dust ingress and water jets. The Anti-Drift System fires immediately if the instrument is disturbed from its reference position. Your grade stays your grade. If someone bumps the tripod, you know. Runs in rain, dust, and concrete mist.
🔄
Enclosed Rotor Housing
The rotor and optics are housed inside a sealed enclosure, protecting them from jobsite debris, dust, and accidental contact. Combined with IP65 housing, this is built for the toughest environments — a true field tool engineered for daily construction use.
🔋
25-Hour Li-Ion, Fast Charging
A full work day and then some. The rechargeable Li-Ion battery with fast charging delivers 25 continuous hours. No proprietary subscription, no AA compromise on the flagship. Charge overnight, run all day.

Six Ways to Work

Six operating modes cover flat work, slope work, vertical reference, auto-grade finding, remote control, and scan sector work — all with the green beam advantage.

Horizontal Mode
Standard level reference mode. Electronically self-levels within ±5° and fires a horizontal green beam plane. Floor elevation, drop ceiling grid heights, foundation benchmarks. 360° sweep available at 0/300/600 RPM.
● Self-leveling ±5°    ● Full 360°    ● 0/300/600 RPM
Vertical Mode
Projects a vertical green beam plane. Mark plumb reference lines on walls, tilt-up panels, and columns. Window/door plumb alignment, partition framing, any layout that runs floor-to-ceiling.
● Plumb reference    ● Wall and column layout
H+V Combined
Horizontal and vertical planes active simultaneously. Mark floor elevation and wall plumb in one instrument position. Eliminates repositioning on large pours, warehouse slabs, and tilt-up layouts.
● Both planes live    ● No repositioning
Stop / Scan Mode
Stops beam rotation for a concentrated dot, or activates scanning across 10°, 45°, 90°, or 180° sectors. Brighter at long range when concentrated. Wall alignment, transfer shots, precision plumb work.
● 0/10/45/90/180° sweep    ● Max brightness at distance
⚡ Auto-Alignment works in Slope Mode
Slope / Grade Mode
Dual-axis grade from -5° to +5° on both axes, controlled with the included remote. Road crown, drainage slopes, site grading, ADA ramp compliance. With Auto-Alignment, the instrument finds and locks target grade automatically.
● -5° to +5° dual axis    ● Auto-Alignment
🟢
Remote / Detector Mode
Full remote control from the detector position — no trips back to the instrument. The LD 320-TR detector (included) is calibrated to the green beam frequency for maximum detection sensitivity at 2000-ft range.
● Full remote control    ● LD 320-TR    ● 2000 ft range

Every Job Where Green
Beam Earns Its Premium

The right call on jobs where visibility, range, and auto-grade matter. Here’s where professionals choose it.

🏠
Drop Ceilings & Interior Floors
Green beam cuts through warehouse LED lighting where red disappears. Drop ceilings, partition walls, interior elevation work in occupied or lit spaces — no glasses required to see the beam on nearby surfaces.
🏊
Pools, Decks & Drainage
Installation of decks, pools, drainage slopes, and ADA-compliant ramps demands precise grade control. Dual-axis slope with Auto-Alignment finds the target grade without repeated manual adjustment.
🏛
Concrete Forms & Foundations
Leveling, checking elevations, setting concrete forms, footings, and foundations. The LM130HVG’s ±1/8″ accuracy and 2000-ft range mean a single instrument position covers the entire site.
🏢
High-Bay Warehouse Layout
Under 400W LED high-bays, the green line is visible where red disappears entirely. Row layout, column marks, equipment anchor lines — all readable without dimming the lights.
📏
Excavating & Septic Systems
Excavating, digging footings, and septic system installation. 2000-ft range and remote control let a single operator run grade checks from equipment without returning to the instrument.
Cut & Fill Estimation
Estimating cut and fill and manual slope work. Green beam gives better detector signal at distance — fewer missed reads, more consistent checks at the outer limit of the 2000-ft range.

Included: LD 320-TR — Green Beam Detector

Most green beam lasers get paired with a standard red detector. Not this one.

The LM130HVG ships with the LD 320-TR — a detector specifically calibrated to the green beam frequency of the LM130HVG. This is not a minor detail. The difference between a tuned detector and an off-frequency one shows up at the limits of your range, in bright daylight, when precision matters most.

At 2000 feet in direct sunlight, the LD 320-TR is reading green where a standard red detector would start missing shots. Tighter signal acquisition. Fewer missed reads. Faster grade lock. That's the LD 320-TR advantage — and it's already in the box.

WHY IT MATTERS

Standard red detector + green laser = degraded performance at range. LD 320-TR + LM130HVG = calibrated pair built to work together.

? Green Beam Calibrated ? 2,000 Ft Working Range ? H + V Plane Compatible ☀️ Optimized for Bright Conditions ? Audio Grade Beep ? LCD Grade Display

Not compatible as a substitute for standard LD 320 (red beam). The LD 320-TR is frequency-matched to the LM130HVG's 635-650nm green output. Using the right detector with the right laser is how you get 2000-foot accuracy every time.

Common Questions

Yes, significantly. The human eye is roughly 4× more sensitive to green wavelengths (555 nm peak) than to red. In bright daylight, a green beam is visible at distances where a red beam washes out completely. The LD 320-TR green-beam detector is tuned to the LM130HVG’s specific frequency, providing better signal detection at the limits of the 2000-ft range. Fewer missed reads, faster workflow, better detector response at distance.
Auto-Alignment automatically aligns the laser to a desired grade or reference point without manual adjustment. On a standard rotary laser, you’d manually adjust until the detector reads on-grade — a process of iterative cranking and checking. With Auto-Alignment, you set a grade value or point the detector at the reference, activate the function, and the LM130HVG adjusts automatically. The difference between a two-minute setup and a fifteen-minute one on a grading job.
The LD 320 (red) detector is tuned to detect red laser frequencies. The LD 320-TR is tuned for the green beam frequency emitted by the LM130HVG. Using the wrong detector isn’t just reduced sensitivity — at distance, using a red-tuned detector with a green laser can result in inconsistent or missed readings. The LD 320-TR is included with every LM130HVG kit. If you own LD 320 detectors from red beam instruments, they are not recommended for use with the LM130HVG at range.
Three configurations: the standard LM130HVG (47-LM130HVG) includes laser, LD 320-TR detector, glasses, target, remote, mount, battery/charger, and case. The LM130HVGK-4C (47-LM130HVGK-4C) adds a 4-foot grade rod in inches. The LM130HVGK-4T (47-LM130HVGK-4T) adds a 4-foot grade rod in tenths. Call 877-866-5721 to discuss which configuration fits your work.
If you do significant interior finish work in lit environments, or outdoor work where visibility is a recurring issue, the green beam pays for itself in time saved. If you primarily use the laser in controlled, low-light indoor conditions and do minimal grade work, the LM130HV will serve you fine. Honest answer: if you’re buying new, buy the LM130HVG. If you already own a working LM130HV, it depends on how much work you do in bright conditions and how much time you spend finding grade manually.
The LM130HVG carries a 2-year limited warranty on the laser instrument, a 1-year limited warranty on the LD 320-TR detector, and a 90-day limited warranty on accessories. Questions? Call 877-866-5721 — a real person answers.
