Smart Horizontal Mode
The Leica DISTO D2-2 (Part No. 1017800) combines distance and tilt measurement so you can determine the horizontal distance easily and with absolute precision, even over long distances or obstacles.
Using the built-in 360° tilt sensor, the D2-2 automatically calculates the true horizontal distance from any angle — no trigonometry, no manual conversion. Aim the laser at any point on a slope, staircase, or angled surface and get the correct flat-ground distance instantly.

Smart Multifunctional End-Piece

Smart and Easy Data Transfer with NFC
NFC (Near Field Communications) offers seamless connectivity with the DISTO Plan app, eliminating the need for pairing. Simply place your DISTO near the smartphone to transfer measurements. Data can also be transferred using Bluetooth® 6.0.

Smart Horizontal Measurements
- 1 Fully extend the DISTO's measuring end piece.
- 2 Place the end piece against the object you're measuring from.
- 3 Select the Smart Horizontal Measuring mode from the menu.
- 4 The DISTO activates the built-in inclination tilt sensor, showing angle percentage on screen.
- 5 Shine the laser at any angle — the DISTO calculates true flat-line horizontal distance, angle of slope, and slope length. All at one button press.

Getting accurate room measurements can be slow, & mistakes are easy to make, especially when walls aren't perfectly square. With Smart Room & the new Diagonals feature, you can walk around the room, measure each wall in order & the app builds the floor plan for you.
The free DISTO Plan app (iOS and Android) receives measurements from the D2-2 wirelessly via Bluetooth or NFC, automatically constructing accurate floor plans you can export and share.
