GPS & GNSS Rover Kit • Survey • Stakeout • Grade
Your Own Centimeter-Accurate GPS. Ready To Walk The Site.
Survey, stake out and calculate cut and fill with one pole, one tablet and no surveyor on call. Works on its own, and works with iDig machine control when you are ready.
iDig SpotMan Rover Kit • Part # CT140T-K • Condition: New

The Kit
GPS You Can Run Without A Survey Crew.
Most jobsites wait on a surveyor for every stake, every volume and every as-built. The SpotMan Rover Kit puts that work in your crew’s hands: switch it on, walk to the point, read the screen. It is built for the contractor, not the geodesist.
One receiver, three jobs. Use it as a rover on the pole, mount it on a machine, or convert it into a base station that broadcasts corrections to a second receiver.
Wireless from the receiver to the tablet. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC, a 4G SIM slot and a UHF radio are all built in. No cables to snag, no data collector to babysit.
Tilt it, trench it, still measure it. The built-in tilt sensor corrects the pole for you, so you do not have to hold a bubble level while you shoot a point.
Contractors-Tools.com puts the whole kit together, so everything in the box works together the day it arrives.

How It Works
From Case To First Stake In Four Steps.
Thread it onto the pole
Snap the receiver onto the 2 m pole with the quick release and clamp the tablet into its holder.
Get your corrections
Connect over the 4G SIM slot for network corrections, or pair to your own base station over UHF radio.
Open iPoint
Load your DXF, DWG or LandXML plan, or start a new project right on the tablet.
Walk to the point
The screen guides you to each stake. Tilt compensation lets you measure without leveling the pole.
Key Features
Built For Work, Not Demos.
Centimeter accuracy
0.8 cm horizontal and 1.5 cm vertical, tracking more than 1,400 signals across GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou and QZSS, including under trees and between buildings.
Tilt compensation, no calibration
A 200 Hz IMU corrects up to 30 degrees of lean and is immune to magnetic interference. Reach into a trench or against a wall and measure.
Up to 34 hours of battery
A full week of rover work on one charge, 16 hours as a base station, and an external power input for longer jobs.
Take a drop
IP67 against dust and temporary immersion, and designed to survive a pole drop from 2 meters (6.5 feet).
Every connection built in
4G SIM slot, UHF radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC. Wi-Fi moves files fast; Bluetooth connects the tablet and other devices.
Compact and light
1.15 kg and 152 × 81 mm. It rides on a pole all day without wearing out your shoulder.
On The Jobsite
What Contractors Use It For.
Building pads
Check elevations, slopes and earthwork in real time with a clear view on the tablet.
Cut and fill volumes
Calculate cut and fill accurately to tighten material estimates and avoid costly overruns.
Trenches
Survey trenches quickly, even in hard-to-reach vertical areas, with automatic tilt compensation.
Underground utilities
Import utility plans and lay out trenches and connections on site.
Stakeout from the plan
Lay out directly from DXF files and monitor progress as you go.
As-built close-out
Document what was installed and export the data for final plans and client reports.
The Software
iPoint: Layout Software You Can Learn In An Afternoon.
iPoint is an Android app built to keep you looking at the site, not the menu. It walks you through surveying, stakeout and volume calculations without a steep learning curve.
Design it yourself. Create small designs and calculate volumes in the field, without a surveyor or a model builder.
Opens the files you already have. Import and export DWG, DXF, SHP, LandXML and more.
See it in 3D. Zoom, rotate and pivot your site on the tablet or a phone.
Quote and report. Measure volumes, build terrain profiles, stake points and generate shareable reports.
Your Setup, Your Call
Use It On Its Own. Or Pair It With Machine Control.
SpotMan stands alone as a survey and layout system. If you also run, or plan to run, iDig machine control, it plugs straight in.
| Your situation | What the SpotMan does for you |
|---|---|
| I just need to survey and stake out | Rover kit on its own. No machine control required. |
| I want to check my crew’s grade | Walk the site, compare to the design, verify quantities. |
| I run iDig CONNECT 2D+ or 3D and have no GPS or base | Required. 2D+ and 3D always need a base station and rover, and the SpotMan supplies them. |
| I run an excavator on 2D only | 2D is laser driven, so no GPS is needed. Add a base station and rover later to step up to 2D+ or 3D. |
| I already own a GNSS setup | You may not need another. Call us and we will confirm compatibility. |
| I need my own base station | Convert a SpotMan to a base and broadcast corrections to a rover over UHF. |
