The XD610 is the standard iDig TOUCH 2D system: 2× XD407 mini angle sensors, the XD411 angle / laser receiver sensor, and the BT408 chassis sensor, with the 7″ control box and LED bargraph. Software is included — there is no licence to buy on top.
iDig TOUCH 2D — XD610
Depth, slope and distance read straight from the bucket, in the cab, to ± 3/8 inch. No grade checker in the hole, no cable down the boom — and no software licence to buy on top.
Contractors-Tools.com is an authorized iDig dealer. We spec it against your excavator before you order. Call 1-877-866-5721.
System Features
The 7″ sunlight-readable screen in the cab shows depth and distance to target as you dig. No grade checker in the hole, no tape measure.
Set a target depth, a slope or a batter angle and the LED bargraph holds you on it, pass after pass.
The specialist modes come with the full build — rotary attachment, blade guidance, and clamshell and auger support for the work that pays the best.
Warns the operator before the bucket reaches the target, and measures distance on the spot. Over-dig costs backfill; this is what stops it.
Magnetic plates and no cabling, so the kit comes off one excavator and onto the next in about five minutes. One system can cover a fleet.
Wireless, solar-recharged sensors clip onto magnetic plates. Nothing welded, nothing wired, no shop visit and no machine downtime.
What You Will Use It On
Hold the same depth the length of the run. No jumping out to check with a tape, and no backfilling what you cut too deep.
Every corner and every edge to the same depth, across the whole pad, without a grade checker walking it behind you.
Retention ponds, detention basins and water features dug to depth and slope without stakes or string lines.
Cut a batter on an embankment, a channel or a roadside slope and hold the angle, with the current angle on screen as you go.
Grade a line to fall, first pass. The display reads depth and distance to target straight off the cutting edge.
Bring it back to grade and finish clean, reading the cutting edge from the seat rather than stopping to put someone in front of the machine.

Want the larger laser receiving window? The XD611 build swaps the XD411 for the XD437 Big Combo sensor. Call and we will tell you honestly whether your work needs it.
The XD611 is this same system with one swap: the standard XD411 angle / laser sensor becomes the larger XD437 Big Combo. Same job - catching the laser and guiding your cutting edge - with more receiving area, which is what tells on a long reach or where the laser plane is harder to hold. Everything else in the two kits is identical.
XD437 Big ComboControl Everything From Your Seat
Dig to depth or slope, and measure distance directly with the bucket. Six working modes, all on one screen.
| Mode | What it does |
|---|---|
| ✓Level | Dig to a level grade with precision, guided by intuitive colour-coded LED indicators. |
| ✓Slope | Set and hold a single target slope directly from the in-cab screen. |
| ✓Dual slope | Manage two independent slope planes for crowned or cambered surfaces. |
| ✓Trench | Maintain consistent depth and slope in trenching, even in confined areas. |
| ✓Distance measurement | Measure distances directly with your bucket for fast, accurate layout. |
| ✓Height alarm | Alerts you as the bucket approaches a set height - for working safely under services or in confined areas. |
Simple, Wireless, And It Pays For Itself
Wireless and solar
Sensors talk to the cab over WiFi and charge from daylight. No welding, no cables run to any sensor, nothing to remember to charge overnight.
Software included
The system ships ready to work. There is no machine-class licence on top the way iDig CONNECT needs one.
Multi-machine
A second excavator needs only a set of sensor plates — an Additional Machine Kit, not another system. Switch machines in about five minutes.
2D only, and not upgradable
What you buy is what it does. TOUCH does not step up to 2D+ or 3D and does not run a skid steer. If you want that option, that is CONNECT — worth settling before you buy.

Included Capabilities
All of these ship with the system. None of them is a paid add-on.
Accessories
Big angle / laser sensor
A laser receiver twice as long, so you catch the beam faster. Fitted as standard on the XD611 build.
Additional machine kit
Sensor plates for a second excavator, so one TOUCH 2D system covers more of your fleet. Not another system, just the plates.
Tilt sensors
Control bucket tilt from the TOUCH 2D system. A tilt bucket takes two additional sensors on TOUCH.
Call 1-877-866-5721 and we will price any of these against your machine.
TOUCH 2D vs CONNECT
Both are wireless, solar and self-installed. TOUCH is not the lesser one — it is the simpler one, and on a laser it is the more accurate one.

Watch the total, not the system price. CONNECT's hardware looks cheaper until you add the machine licence it requires; TOUCH has no licence to add. Ask us for both numbers side by side.

Worth knowing before you spend the money, because it is the question we get asked and the honest answer is a good one.
Engineered in France
iDig is a French manufacturer, and the system has been proven on European job sites for years before it arrived here. The patented solar sensor technology is theirs.
iDig North America
There is now a North American operation in Oxnard, California, with sales and support on this continent — backed by the global organisation rather than replacing it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the software included with the iDig TOUCH 2D?
Yes. TOUCH 2D ships ready to work - the software is part of the system and there is no machine-class licence to buy on top. That is the main commercial difference against iDig CONNECT, where the licence is a separate one-time fee.
How accurate is TOUCH 2D?
Plus or minus 3/8 inch, from iDig's own specification. That is the tightest any of the iDig systems get, because it works to a laser plane or a benchmark rather than to satellites.
Can TOUCH 2D be upgraded to 2D+ or 3D later?
No. TOUCH 2D is 2D only and does not step up. It takes its height reference from the ground or a laser, and that is what it does for the life of the system. If you want the option to add GNSS for 2D+ or a licence for full 3D on hardware you already own, that is iDig CONNECT. Settle that before you buy rather than after.
Does TOUCH 2D work on a skid steer?
No. TOUCH 2D is excavator guidance. A skid steer has no stick to carry a laser receiver and takes its height from satellites instead, which needs a GNSS base station or rover - that is iDig CONNECT with the skid steer licence.
How long does it take to install?
One to two hours, self-installed, in your own yard. The sensors are solar-rechargeable and mount on magnetic plates, so nothing is welded and no cable is run to any sensor.
Can I move it between machines?
Yes - about five minutes, once the second excavator has its own mounting plates. An Additional Machine Kit is just the plates, not another system, so a second excavator costs very little. The control box remembers 100 machines with 100 buckets each.
What attachments does it support?
Knuckle boom, double deported arm, bucket or tilt attachment, tiltrotator, front dozer blade, auger and clamshell. A tilt bucket needs two additional sensors on TOUCH 2D.
Is iDig supported in the United States?
Yes. iDig is a French manufacturer, and there is now a North American operation in Oxnard, California handling sales and support on this continent. On top of that, Contractors-Tools.com is an authorized iDig dealer - we spec the system against your machine, build it, and support it afterwards, so you are not calling overseas when you need something.
Do I need a laser?
You need a height reference, which is either a rotary laser or a benchmark you shoot and hold. There is no base station, no correction subscription and no satellite dependency. We sell rotary lasers and will match one to your working range.
